The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of two sacraments of healing and is reserved to the ministry of the priesthood, as they are the ordinary mode of binding and loosing sins. The priest, who as an authorized representative of Christ in his ministry of reconciliation, hears a penitent’s confession of sins, assigns an appropriate penance, and absolves the penitent of the guilt of sin, extending the peace of Christ to the troubled conscience and renewing the state of grace and reconciling us to God and his Church. While Confession is at time intimidating for many, Confession is seen as a place of victory and joy as one rejoins full union with Christ and is free’d from sin! It is common practice to seek confession, particularly during the seasons of advent and lent.
Confession Times: Every Saturday 3:00 - 4:30 pm and by appointment.
All persons must be Baptized priort to receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). Please contact the office or our Faith Formation Director at christie.milawski@catholicflint.org
